On Friday, March 28, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are set to take on Royal Challengers Benglauru (RCB) in their second fixture of IPL 2025. However, both teams are coming off a win in their respective previous matches, they will be vying to go all out and register another victory to their name. Ahead of this fixture, which is scheduled to be played at the MA Chidamabram Stadium in Chennai, RCB mentor Dinesh Karthik shared a big update on the fitness concerns in the camp.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, the former India wicketkeeper-batter not only hinted on playing an extra spinner, he also revealed the reason behind dropping Bhuvneshwar Kumar from the opening match, where they hammered defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at their own den.

There are no fitness concerns: Dinesh Karthik ahead of CSK vs RCB

While addressing the media, Karthik revealed that there aren’t any injury concerns. He also added that the swing specialist, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was bought for INR 10.75 Crore in the mega auction, missed the opening match due to a minor injury but is fit now.

“As far as I know, there are no fitness concerns. Yes, Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar) did not play the last game but he bowled and felt good yesterday. So, we will wait on that. Kohli’s back issue is a bit of a chronic one but the beauty about him is that he knows how to play with it. It has not been hampering him in any way,” he said. Furthermore, the Indian yorker specialist was seen bowling full throttle in the nets ahead of the upcoming match.
