Counter-Strike circuit BLAST Premier collaborated with Unilever ice cream brand Magnum ahead of the BLAST Premier World Final Abu Dhabi 2023. According to the deal, the ice cream brand integrated across the online and offline broadcasts of the high-octane Counter-Strike series. Not only this, but the deal also had the Magnum logo appearing during the broadcast of the FINAL Premier tournament of 2023.
Along with it, the logo of the ice cream brand ran in-person activations inside Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena. It isn’t the first time that the brand signed a deal with BLAST Premier. Earlier, the two platforms came together for the 2021 Fall Groups and more recently, the 2022 Spring and Fall Finals. Apart from BLAST, Magnum joined hands with French esports organisation Team Vitality in December 2023.
The final for the 2023 BLAST Premier World took place from December 13 to December 17 and had eight teams fighting for the biggest share in the $1m prize pool. By signing the deal, Magnum became BLAST’s second partner for the BLAST Premier World Final following a deal with automobile brand Lynk & Co. and became the official transport partner for the event.
The Vice President of Distribution and Programming for BLAST, Alexander Lewin, said, “We’re delighted to be re-joining forces with Unilever and have the Magnum brand return to the BLAST Premier circuit for its fourth event. It’s exciting to bring one of the world’s biggest ice cream manufacturers to our audience inside the Etihad Arena as well as to millions of fans following the action across BLAST’s global broadcast network.” Talking of the tournament's final, the summit clash will have India and Pakistan locking horns for the coveted title.
