Whether it is a technical issue, tactics mistake or driver's error, Ferrari are facing blunders race after race in Formula One this year. However, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has hailed the first half of the current F1 season as his strongest ever.
With a difference of 80 points, the Monegasque F1 racer is second only to Red Bull's Max Verstappen in the championship leaderboard.
After new generation technical regulations are introduced in F1, Red Bull and Ferrari have become the two fastest teams. Charles Leclerc has won the Bahrain, Australian and Austrian Grand Prix in 2022 and finished in the second place in Saudi Arabia and Miami.

Leclerc told BBC Sport, "I really feel like this first part of the season has been my strongest in F1 and I think the way I have worked. The way we have worked as a team – in terms of finding the right set-up, in terms of building up to the qualifying lap in Q3, or just preparing the race – has been the best I have ever done in F1."
However, both Leclerc and Carlos Sainz have lost crucial points due to the technical glitches by Ferrari this season. Leclerc car slowed without warning in Spanish Grand Prix and he also made costly mistakes as he crashed out of the French Grand Prix. But he will not change the approach considering his decent first half races.
He said, “So there is no need for me to change that approach. Again, try and grow from the mistakes of the first half, but try and perform as well as the first half because the performance I’ve given, I’m extremely happy about. And this I want to keep. So there won’t be any significant change. We just need to try and work as a team to put a weekend together for the nine remaining races and see where we end up.”
