Morris steals the show in IPL 2021 Auction
Chris Morris was one of the most-talked about players coming into the auction. But no one could have imagined this kind of record-breaking bidding for the South-African cricketer. Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians showed a lot of interest to sign the all-rounder. While his former franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore also chipped in, it was eventually Rajasthan Royals who bought Morris for a record-price of INR 16.25 Crore.
Impressive IPL record of Morris
Chris Morris has had a very impressive IPL career so far. In 70 appearances, he has taken 80 wickets at an economy rate of 7.81. He also has scored 551 runs at a scintillating strike rate of 157.87. He will join Jofra Archer to make a lethal bowling combination for Rajasthan Royals.
