Former UFC champion in two weight classes Conor McGregor has not stepped in the octagon since his last defeat against American fighter Dustin Poirier on July 11, 2021 at UFC 264. During the fight, McGregor sustained a scary leg injury that forced him out of the fighting events for a long-time.
Earlier, the 34-year-old Irishman was expected to return in the UFC this summer but his long-awaited return was again postponed until 2023.
Since his last fight, McGregor has improved his fighting techniques and also been working hard on his physique. Former UFC Lightweight and Featherweight champion regularly post pictures of his workout and trainings on social media for his fans delight. Last month, TheMacLife posted a video of Conor's wrestling training that garnered a lot of views on YouTube.
McGregor's training video drew speculations of his possible return as UFC legend Chael Sonnen claimed that the Irishman has been improving his wrestling technique.

Former UFC fighter and currently mixed martial arts analyst Chael Sonnen has reacted on Conor McGregor's wrestling training video. Sonnen hails from wrestling background and expected the 34-year-old to make a sound comeback in the UFC.
Sonnen talked about the improved wrestling techniques of Conor McGregor on his YouTube channel in an episode of Beyond the Fight.
After watching McGregor's training video, Sonnen believed, "Pure wrestling. So he is in a stance. He is on his feet, he is bent over. His knees are bent… He has got his head positioned. He looked like a seasoned wrestler. Conor McGregor is out there on a weekend pushing and pulling. Holding stance and he is wrestling. Guys, he is coming back."

Meanwhile, the 'Notorious' is experiencing a rough-patch in his career after suffering a gruesome leg injury in his last fight as the Irish fighter is on a two-fight consecutive defeats in the UFC. In the UFC, the Irish fighter has participated in 14 bouts, winning 10 and losing four.
