After defeating ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, 58, in a Netflix boxing event inside the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, American YouTuber-turned boxer Jake Paul, 27, quickly shifted his attention to the next money-making fight, laying down the challenge to former UFC champion Conor McGregor for an MMA fight on X. In response, the Irishman took a dig at Jake Paul by sharing a picture of an old American Senator in the comments section, telling him to fight the politician instead of worrying about him.

Notably, a couple of days ago, Mike Tyson defied the odds, taking Jake Paul the distance, a man more than half his age, in eight two-minute rounds, but still, he was ultimately defeated in a one-sided contest. The judges scored the fight 80-72, 79-73 and 79-73, following which Paul acknowledged Tyson as the greatest of all-time from whom he took inspiration to start his boxing career in the first place.

Let’s run it in MMA. No weight class. Just like how it used to be done: Jake Paul to Conor McGregor

After dispatching of Mike Tyson, in one of his latest posts on his official X account, Jake Paul had some choice words for Conor McGregor, with whom he has gone back-and-forth on quite a few occasions recently, and wrote, “Dear Conor, I know you told my team you would fight me at 170lbs. That’s never happening. But let’s run it in MMA. No weight class. Just like how it used to be done. But you won’t”.

In a now-deleted post on X, Conor McGregor, who has surely kept a keen eye on Jake Paul’s demolition of Mike Tyson along with the memes surrounding the fight, responded with a comment, which read, “Nakisa already rang me, lad, it's this guy next for you. Good luck pal,” along with a picture of the American Senator Mitch McConnell, who is 82 years of age. The social media savvy McGregor was quick to take down the post, to keep the fans guessing about his intention to potentially return to combat sports.
