Reigning champions , Argentina are set to square off against Ecuador in the first quarter-final of the Copa America 2024. The forthcoming clash, which is going to be the rematch of 2021 quarter-finals, will take place on Friday, July 5 (IST) at the NRG Stadium in Houston. Both sides will aim to register their spot in the top four of the tournament. Argentina, better known as La Seleccion, topped Group A standings on the back of an unbeaten campaign in the group stage.
In their last match, the 2022 World Champions registered a 2-0 win against Peru. On the other hand, Ecuador’s clash against Mexico in Group B, ended in a 0-0 draw.
