The former Real Madrid forward found the back of the net against Al Shabab in the 21st minute to take his tally to 36 goals in the 2023-24 season. But CR7 found himself in a controversy, after the match, for his gesture towards Shabab, who were chanting 'Messi, Messi.'
As Al-Nassr sealed the win, local fans were trolling Cristiano Ronaldo by shouting the name of the Argentine star, who has been the 38-year-old's biggest rival throughout his career. Reacting to these chants, Ronaldo was spotted performing an X-rated gesture.

Footage on social media depicts Ronaldo cupping his ear and repeatedly thrusting his hand near his pelvis at Al Shabab supporters. These actions have created an uproar, leading the Saudi Arabia Football Federation to open an investigation.
The local media further claims that Ronaldo will be handed a suspension which will see the 38-year-old miss games against Al-Hazm in the SPL on Thursday and could also be sidelined for Al Nassr's Asian Champions League quarter-final clash.
