Cristiano Ronaldo is a free agent for the first time in a career of around 20 years. This means that the Portuguese forward can join hands with any club. Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United was terminated with mutual consent, so the 38-year-old is available to be roped in. With the FIFA World Cup underway, there is not much talk going around Ronaldo’s transfer but there is a fair share of rumours doing the rounds.

The latest of which suggests that the Portuguese forward has received a lucrative deal from Saudi Arabia. It’s reported that Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr has approached Ronaldo’s representative Jorge Mendes and has offered a three-year deal worth a massive £186m. Ronaldo will be getting £62 million per year as per the deal.

“Cristiano Ronaldo has been handed an offer to play on into his 40s with Saudi Arabian giants Al Nassr ready to hand him a three-year deal after the World Cup, according to CBS Sports sources,” reports CBS Sports. However, Ronaldo is yet to make a final decision. But it’s said that as the talks about a Ronaldo transfer were initiated during the summer transfer window itself, it won’t take long to finalize the deal.

“Due to contact being initiated over the summer, it is believed talks are relatively advanced but awaiting Ronaldo's final decision. Should he choose to accept the offer, sources tell CBS Sports a deal would not take long to finalize,” the reported further stated.

Al Nassr are one of Saudi Arabia, and indeed Asia's, most successful clubs, winning nine league titles and reaching the final of the AFC Champions League in 1995. Their great rivals Al Hilal have also been linked with a move for Ronaldo. However, Al Nassr's offer is understood to be the only formal contract offered to the Portugal international, whose future is expected to remain unresolved until after the World Cup.
