The Cristiano Ronaldo - Lionel Messi Last Dance is officially off after the Portuguese star was deemed unfit for the fixture after a recent injury. Ronaldo and Messi have been footballing world's biggest stars and were slated to go head-to-head in an  Al-Nassr vs Inter Miami marquee friendly on Thursday.

The contest was slated to take place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in the Riyadh Season Cup 2024. But Ronaldo will not be part of the Al-Nassr squad as per head coach  Luis Castro, who revealed on Wednesday that the veteran Portuguese forward is not ready to return after injury.

Speaking to the media ahead of the much-awaited fixture,  Castro said,  “We will not see [Messi vs Ronaldo], Ronaldo is in the final part of his recovery to join the group.  We hope that in the next few days, you can start working with the team. He will be absent from the game.”

Al-Nassr cancel China tour after  Ronaldo's injury

The Saudi Pro League club recently called off their tour to China after  Cristiano Ronaldo suffered a muscle injury. Addressing the Chinese fans, CR7 released a statement expressing that he and the team will be back.

"I feel sad. I know you are sad too, especially the people who love Cristiano, but we have to see this in a good way. We have not cancelled the game, we want to push for the game and be back here. We will be back and want to play for you. Don't be sad because I am sad, and I hope you understand the circumstances of a football player." Cristiano Ronaldo said in his statement.
