ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND CS2 Asia Cup 2023 is set to make its comeback after a year. The event is scheduled to take place from 26th to 28th January 2024 and will feature a total prize pool of USD 50,000. The highly anticipated esports event will take place at the Perfect World Esports Center in Shanghai, China. Teams around the globe, especially in the Asia Pacific region including China, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Mongolia, and the Middle East will compete in the tournament.

This will be the first time that ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND will host a Counter-Strike 2 event making its return exciting and special for the fans as well as the players. Since its inception in 2016, the eXTREMESLAND has hosted a total of four events and the organisation has been striving for perfection with each passing year. A total of eight teams will compete in the event, which includes two direct invites and six other teams that will make it to the competition by qualifying. 

The regional qualifiers for the event will be held in China, Mongolia, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. A total of six teams will pass the qualifying stage and make it to the final stage. Five out of eight participants have been announced by the event organisers, and the other three are expected to be announced in the coming days. The names of those five teams include Asia Pacific esports giants, Team NKT, E9 Esports, The MongolZ, Team Shush, and NCTDK. 

The teams that will qualify through the Chinese qualifier will be announced on 24th December. However, there is no information about when the second direct invite will be announced. The tournament will act as a warm-up event for the upcoming ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND CS2 Open 2024.
