Indian squash player Anahat Singh, who is the youngest member of the Indian contingent, has defeated Jada Ross of Saint Vincente and the Grenadines in the women's singles round of 64 on Friday in the Commonwealth Games 2022.
The 14-year-old Anahat Singh displayed a commendable performance to win her Round of 64 match against Jada Ross by 11-5, 11-2, 11-0.
At the starting of the game, Anahat looked relaxed and maintained her composure throughout the game as she restricted Jada Ross under five points in all the three games. The Indian squash player didn't let Jada Ross to score a single point in the third and the final game of the Round of 64.
Anahat Singh improved her performance after every game as she won the first game 11-5 and improvise in the second game to win it 11-2. The teenager dominated her opponent in the one-sided affair.
With the win the Indian teenager advanced to the Round of 32 where she will face the likes of Wales international Emily Whitlock.
