The Indian Premier League 2023 just round the corner from the start. While some franchises boosts of a star-studded squad, some franchises will miss the services of their key players. One of this franchise is definitely Delhi Capitals. The Delhi-based franchise will miss their skipper Rishabh Pant, after the wicketkeeper-batter survived a horrific accident in December 2022.

While the Delhi Capitals have named Australian opener David Warner as the skipper for the upcoming season, the franchise is reportedly in talks to have Pant’s presence in the ground. The franchise is mulling to have Pant’s jersey number embossed on either their jersey or cap.

As per recent reports quoting Indian Express, DC head coach Ricky Ponting said that Pant’s jersey number - 17 could be on their jersey or cap which the players will don during the course of the tournament.

Talking about the 2023 edition, Delhi Capitals will kick start their campaign on April 1 against Lucknow Super Giants. The two sides will play at the Ekana Cricket Stadium.
