Ahead of the fourth T20I against Pakistan, New Zealand have been handed a major blow as their wicketkeeper-batter Devon Conway has tested positive for COVID-19. The Kiwis are set to host the Shaheen Shah Afridi-led Men in Green in the fourth T20I of the five-match series at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch.

The BlackCaps informed that Conway has been ruled out of the fourth T20I and will continue to remain in isolation at the team hotel in Christchurch. However, the side have added Chad Bowes, Canterbury Kings batter for the fourth T20I. Earlier, Mitchell Santner had contracted the virus and had to miss a few games.

“Devon Conway has been ruled out of fourth T20I against Pakistan after testing positive for COVID. Conway has been in isolation at the team’s Christchurch hotel after testing positive yesterday. Canterbury Kings batsman Chad Bowes will join the squad today a cover,” the BlackCaps wrote on X.

Moreover, the New Zealand cricket board further informed that bowling coach Andre Adam has also been tested positive for COVID-19 and will continue to remain at the team hotel. However, the board has announced that Canterbury Men’s Development Coach Brendon Donkers will join the national side for the fourth T20I.
