Former India bowler Harbhajan Singh recalled an incident where former Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni lost his cool. Dhoni is often regarded as one of the coolest cricketers and there have been very few instances when the cricketer has lost his temper. There have been moments when Dhoni couldn’t help but show his emotions and one such incident took place during the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Former India ace spinner Harbhajan Singh, who shared the Indian dressing room as well as the CSK dressing room, recalled an incident that took place during Dhoni’s potential last match in the cash-rich league. Ruturaj Gaikwad-led CSK clashed against RCB in their important clash of the 2024 season. After losing to RCB, the former champions were kicked out from the race for another trophy. However, this seemingly didn’t go well with Dhoni and he was seen losing his cool.

The former off-spinner spoke to Sports Yaari, where he revealed that has shocked the fans of captain cool. He said, “RCB were celebrating and they deserved to celebrate because of the way they won. I was watching the whole scene from above because I was present there.” He added, “CSK had lined up to shake hands. RCB were a little late to reach there. By the time, RCB finished their celebration, (Dhoni) went inside.”
Singh added, “Dressing room se pehle jo screen hai, uspe mukka bhi maara (he punched a screen outside the dressing room). I was watching from above, but it is okay, it happens when you win or lose.” Harbhajan added, “It’s their right to celebrate (referring to RCB), even if they take three minutes. But he (Dhoni) went away. That was his thinking, maybe he was not so calm that day, maybe because his dream of retiring with the trophy was shattered.”
