Seasoned wicketkeeper-batsman, Dinesh Karthik recently inaugurated T. Natarajan’s cricket academy in Chinnappampatti. Earlier on Monday, June 26, the Indian cricketer shared pictures from the inauguration ceremony of T Natarajan’s cricket stadium, which is said to be his dream for long.
Karthik, who recently was part of the commentary panel at the World Test Championship Final 2023 at the Oval, shared pictures from the inauguration that took place on Monday. While sharing the pictures from the ceremony, DK also extended gratitude for inviting him to launch the cricket academy.
“An honour for me to inaugurate and begin this exciting journey of Natarajan Cricket Academy which will give wings to several young talents in and around Chinnappampatti. Kudos to my friend @Natarajan_91 for bringing this dream to life,” DK wrote in his tweet.
The event also saw presence of several other cricketers, namely Washington Sundar, Varun Chakravarthy among others. Additionally, well-known actors from the film industry like Yogi Babu, Pugazh, and Gopi also starred in the event.
It is to be noted that T Natarajan hails from Tamil Nadu and currently plays for Tamil Nadu in domestic cricket and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. The 32-year-old had a dream tour of Australia in 2020, where he became the first Indian in history to make his debut in all the three formats of the game.
