Canadian singer and rapper Drake has once again put on a staggering bet on the sporting event after his previous failed efforts recently. The 37-year-old has now his eyes set on the heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk where he has put a staggering sum of over $500k in a bet.
According to the story he has posted on his Instagram story, the Canada-based rapper has put his bet on Tyson Fury, who will face off with Usyk to become the undisputed world champion. Both the heavyweights have never lost a fight respectively with Fury winning in 34 of 35 fights and Usyk winning all of his 21 fights coming into this match.
Drake is regarded as one of the most successful musicians in the world but the curse as a punter has always got the better of him. The superstar has developed an unwanted reputation for losing millions while betting in the sporting arena. Recently, Drake lost €394,000 in his bet on UFC star Israel Adesanya to beat Sean Strickland. In the El-Classico game between Real Madrid and Barcelona too, Drake lost €500,000 owing to Barca’s 3-1 defeat.
His curse wasn’t limited to the UFC fight and football, in F1 racing too, Drake lost €186,000 after he backed Charles Leclerc to emerge victorious in the Spanish Grand Prix. Also, his bets on Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov were unsuccessful.
