A 21-year-old Gabri Veiga's upcoming move to Al-Ahli has been referred to by Toni Kroos as "embarrassing," in what appears to be criticism of the choice to join a Saudi Arabian club. Veiga, a coveted young midfielder who has been linked with many European clubs, is poised to finalise a transfer to the Saudi Pro League.

Among the players who have joined Saudi clubs this summer are Riyad Mahrez, Jordan Henderson, Ruben Neves, and Neymar. Veiga's prime is still to come, though, as the Under-21 international enjoyed a breakthrough La Liga campaign with Celta Vigo last season. However, the majority of those who have made the transfer are in the midst of or near the conclusion of their careers.
Using his official Instagram account, Kroos of Real Madrid commented "embarrassing" on a post from transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano. The post had an update about Veiga joining Al-Ahli. Since leaving Bayern Munich for the Spanish capital in 2014, the German has played his entire professional career in Europe.
Last season, Veiga became one of LaLiga's most promising players and earned himself a regular spot in Spain's Under-21 team. In 36 La Liga games, he score d 11 goals and provided four assists. The young player made his debut for Celta this season off the bench, but he did not play against Real Sociedad last weekend.
