Epic Games confirms their latest collaboration between Fortnite and Bethesda’s Fallout series. The announcement came through Fortnite’s official X handle, where they revealed an image with a dusty landscape. Although the tweet didn’t specify the collaboration, it had the Vault Boy’s famous wink-and-thumbs-up gesture. As per the announcement, Chapter 5 Season 3 titled ‘Wrecked’ will be released on May 24.
The season will have the Brotherhood of Steel playing the role in its theme. While the updates about more specific content are yet to be announced, there are speculations that it will have several characters, items, and memorable moments from the Fallout series. Brotherhood of Steel’s appearance suggests that there will be several purchasable skins as well as appearances from the Fallout series like The Ink Spots’ “I Don’t Want to Set the World on Fire” and a Vault Boy Skin.
The origin of the Fallout series began in the late 90s and was bolstered by the release of Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout TV series. The crossover will also have characters from the show including Lucy, Maximus, and Walton Goggins’ Ghoul. The announcement didn't include the specific details of the cosmetic items skins, back bling, weapon wraps, and emotes.
The collaboration might also extend to Fortnite’s musical offerings including ‘Jam Tracks’ for the ‘Fortnite Festival’ rhythm mode. Needless to say, the partnership between Fortnite and Fallout represents the fusion of two iconic franchises that would promise exciting content for players and both games.
