Speaking in an exclusive interview with SportsTiger, Indian badminton star HS Prannoy expressed that the Indian contingent has an incredible opportunity to have the country's most successful Olympics campaign at the Summer Games in Paris. Over the last few years, Indian badminton has taken massive leaps with the Thomas C up win in 2022 and the 15-medal tally at the Asian Games 2023.

In this period the likes of Prannoy, Lakshya Sen, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty in the men's with PV Sindhu, Tanisha Crasto, Tressa Jolly and Anmol Kharb in the women's have been India's top performers. Hence the World Number 9 believes that the Indian contingent could put forth the country's best Olympic performance in Paris, later this year.

We can come back with multiple medals: HS Prannoy

Speaking to SportsTiger, Prannoy said, "Yes, for sure. I think in the last few years, we have been rewriting the history books every single tournament. In every single major event, we have been able to get more medals than usual. And I think getting into this Olympic cycle, we have, I think, say, two men's singles players almost out there qualified. And we have Sindhu out there, I think, always been performing  on the biggest stage."

"And then we have Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, who are the current world number one, who have been playing one of the best badminton in their careers in the last six months to one year. And then we have the women's doubles also. So when you look at the representation wise, yes, there is a lot of chance where I think there is a possibility that we can come back with multiple medals. And I hope that we all can deliver our best performance and come back with the medal."
