In the ninth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by a comfortable margin of 36 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, to register their first win of the season. During the latter stages of the match, when MI were in a hopeless situation, Sai Kishore of GT had a staredown with opposition captain Hardik Pandya, and things got ugly when the latter seemingly saying “F*** off” to him.

The heated exchange happened in the 15th over of the Mumbai Indians’ innings when left-arm orthodox spinner Sai Kishore bowled a dot delivery to Hardik Pandya. The youngster had no qualms in looking at Pandya dead in his eyes, and moments later, the MI captain completely lost his cool at him as he not only said the F-word but also walked towards him.

Hardik Pandya had a miserable time with the bat during his short innings, scoring just 11 runs in 17 balls with one four before losing his wicket to Kagiso Rabada. MI were chasing a big target of 197 runs on a black soil pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, and it got sluggish for batting as their innings went on, especially with no resemblance of dew on the field.

After the conclusion of the IPL 2025 match, Hardik Pandya and Sai Kishore shared a hug when both the teams gathered on the field to embrace each other as per the spirit of the game. With that, the heated moment between Pandya and Kishore became a thing of the past, and these two cricketers will now be looking to play a key role in taking their teams forward in the tournament.

Moreover, as of this writing, only Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are the only two teams in the IPL 2025 season, who haven’t won a game, but it is just the start of the season, and they have ample time to catch up with other teams in the competition.
