Australian batter David Warner was left furious after being given LBW against Sri Lanka in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. After a great bowling effort, Australia had a cautious start as they were chasing a modest total of 210 runs. With Mitch Marsh taking the aggressive route, Warner was gradually finding his feet on a tricky pitch.

Facing Dilshan Madushanka, who started with a maiden, Warner was hit on the pads on the first ball. The Aussie opener seemed convinced about being not out and immediately opted for the DRS after being given out LBW. But in a massive shock for Warner, the third umpire went with the on-field decision of out.

Reacting to this decision, Warner was furious as he blurted out a few abuses as he walked back to the dismissal. Despite showing a few positive signs, Warner was sent packing at a score of 11 in six balls with one six. Suprisingly, Madushanka completed another over without giving away any runs while dismissing Steven Smith on a duck to complete a double-wicket maiden.
