After India defeated New Zealand in the semi-final of the ODI World Cup 2023, some of the big personalities from the sports and entertainment world sent them congratulatory messages. The undefeated boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr and the Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan were some of the celebrities who wished the Indian cricket team all the best for the upcoming final against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, November 19.

Floyd Mayweather Jr was attending the NBA game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Sacramento Kings at the Crypto.com Arena. Here, the owner of Sacramento Kings, Vivek Ranadive, collaborated in a video with Floyd Mayweather Jr before posting it on X, in which the 15-time world champion in boxing said, “I want to say to the Indian cricket team, congratulations. You guys are the best for making it to the World Cup finals.”

Shah Rukh Khan posted a tweet on his official X account, going gaga on the performance of the Indian cricket team against New Zealand in the semi-final of the ODI World World Cup 2023 before wishing them all the best in the final. His post read, “Yay boys!!! What a display of team spirit and play. Unto winning the finals now. All the best….India !!!”

Hardik Pandya, the Indian all-round cricketer, who was ruled out of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 campaign due to an ankle injury, sent his best wishes to his teammates before the final of the ODI World Cup 2023. He said, “Always with you, with my love, all my heart, now let’s bring the cup home.”

Katrina Kaif, the Bollywood actress, who is enjoying the success of her movie Tiger 3 recently, spoke to PTI about how she is cheering the Indian cricket team for playing incredible cricket throughout the ODI World Cup 2023. She was quoted as saying, “I’m cheering for Team India, they have played phenomenally well. This entire World Cup has been such a delight to watch.”
