According to a report printed in Moneycontrol, the launch of the game was being postponed so that Garena could offer the “best possible experience to all of their Free Fire India fans” from the beginning. The company has announced that the upcoming game will “incorporate unique content and features to encourage a safe, healthy, and fun gameplay experience”. The local cloud hosting and storage infrastructure for the game will be provided by Yotta, a Hiranandani Group company.

While answering a fan’s question about the Free Fire India launch date, renowned casters “Rocky & RDX” said that the fans will get the good news in the first week of October, which indicates that the game can be launched in the first week of October. Users can pre-register for the game on the Play Store as of now, and those who do will get special perks after the game launches, the casters further added.

By designating MS Dhoni as the brand ambassador for Free Fire in India, Garena has made a daring move. Dhoni is an ideal choice to bridge the gap between gaming and Indian sports culture because of his influence and the fan following the CSK skipper boasts. Players can also anticipate taking control of "Thala," a playable in-game character who was modeled after Dhoni.
