Garena Free Fire is undoubtedly one of the most popular Battle Royale titles played across the world. Released in 2017, the game has accumulated millions of downloads in the past few years. The game is quite popular for dropping newer versions on its anniversary, and with its sixth anniversary coming up, all eyes are set on the next version. The title already has an OB40 version, and new updates are all set to be released on its sixth anniversary in August 2023.

Free Fire was founded on August 23, 2017, and hence, the official date of its sixth anniversary is August 23, 2023. Further updates, events, and awards are expected to be introduced in the later part of August. Talking about the OB40 update, it offers a wide range of exciting features to its players. The update comes with the much-anticipated Spider-Verse crossover event. Not only this, but it also includes enhancements to gameplay, such as a new achievement system, Duo Active Skills Mode, weapon balance adjustments, and a batch of fresh new characters.

The new achievement system comes with three categories, and some of the achievements offer titles as rewards. As a player will equip the title, it will be displayed on the profile page. During the sixth anniversary celebration, the game will offer the Color Cube limited mission. The BR title also comes with new characters and pets, such as Sonia and Awakened Alok. Sonia is a nanoscientist, and her ability grants her bonus health when she sustains fatal damage and provides a brief period of damage recovery. In the maps, several changes have been made to the layout of Rim Nam village, as well as Nurek Dam, Cape Town, and Mars Electric.
