Free Fire is a classic battle royale game that was unfortunately banned by the Indian authorities in February 2022 due to security concerns and rising tensions with China. It was an excellent substitute for PUBG Mobile, which suited low-end mobile devices too, unlike PUBG Mobile. After about 18 months after its ban, rumours have surfaced about the game being unbanned on social media.
After teasing the much-anticipated comeback, Gyan Gaming , a notable gamer and streamer, eventually removed his Instagram story, although the news has not yet been formally confirmed. Free Fire's creator, Garena, has been working hard in recent months to return to India, forming a partnership with the UP government and signing an MOU to develop eSports in the state.
Gyan Gaming posted an Instagram story that was immediately deleted after posting. The story had only one sentence written, “Coming Soon, Garena Free 🔥Fire Next Month😎.”
PUBG Mobile was also banned alongside Free Fire, but the former came back to the Indian market in the refurbished form of BGMI. However, Free Fire has yet to return to India. If the story is taken to be true, the game might be released any time in the coming month, which is now just a couple of days away.
The official news of the return of Free Fire has not yet been confirmed by Garena. Official confirmation will come soon from Garena about the Free Fire Unban in September.
