The 33-year-old further added that Wasim Akram has explained about the same and still they haven’t been trusting their own player. “Wasim bhai ne samjhaya hai explain kia tha phir bhir. Hahahahhahahahahaah. aapne player apne Wasim akram par yakin nahi apko”.
Shami, who found a place in the XI after Hardik Pandya sustained an ankle injury and was further ruled out of the tournament. The 33-year-old has scalped 16 wickets from the four games he has played, claiming two five-wicket haul (vs New Zealand and Sri Lanka) and a four-wicket haul (England) in the ODI World Cup 2023.
