Indian veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin posted a picture on his Instagram account with the Indian captain Rohit Sharma and added a witty caption to it, ‘Garden mein Ghoomne wale bande ka “Gardner” Rohit Sharma ke saath.” The post came following an emphatic six-wicket humbling of Mumbai Indians by Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals.

Monday’s outing proved to be a horrific affair for the hosts, Mumbai, who spiraled to just 125 after 20 overs following Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal’s triple strikes. Former MI captain Rohit Sharma had to be satisfied with a golden duck after edging his first ball to Samson off the Kiwi left-arm pacer.

Sanju Samson’s side raced away to the target with six wickets in hand despite early strikes by Akash Madhwal. The rejuvenated Riyan Parag remained alive at the other end and ensured a clinical victory to help RR mount to the top of the points table.

Though, the next day, Royals’ ace off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin posted a heartwarming picture with his Indian skipper and coupled it up with a quirky caption meaning, “Gardner of the person who roams in the garden,” taking a dig at his hilarious on-field statement during recently concluded India and England test series.

Often, Rohit Sharma is caught giving hilarious reactions during the match. In the recent Test series against England as well, Rohit was caught on stump pic giving chuckling statements to teammates as well as to the opposition. In the 5th Test as well, Rohit poked at Sarfaraz Khan by saying, "Hero nahi banne ka," after the youngster attempted to field at forward short leg without a helmet.
