Former India cricketer and the current head coach of the Indian cricket team, Gautam Gambhir recently named his India all-time XI. Surprisingly, he included himself, along with the likes of ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar, ‘The Wall’ Rahul Dravid, he also named three-time ICC trophy winning captain, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli in his side.
Speaking on Sportskeeda’s YouTube channel, Gambhir listed himself as an opener alongside Virender Sehwag and dropped Sachin to number four position in his all-time India XI. Furthermore, Rahul Dravid found No. 3 place, Virat Kohli got No. 5 spot. His side also had former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh at No. 6 while MS Dhoni, who has played a role of key finisher got the seventh place.
Interestingly, Team India skipper Rohit Sharma and star pacer, Jasprit Bumrah did not find a place in Gambhir’s all-time India XI as R Ashwin, Irfan Pathan and Zaheer Khan completed his XI. Even former India captain, Sourav Ganguly, along with Harbhajan Singh found no place in his all-time XI.
