The Geneva Open is a Men’s ATP Tour affiliated tennis tournament that is held annually in Geneva, Switzerland on clay courts. This year’s edition is being played from 20 May to 27 May 2023 at the Tennis Club de Genève in Geneva, Switzerland. It is to be noted that Mats Wilander, Stan Wawrinka and Casper Ruud are the only three players in history to win the title more than once. All three of them have won it twice. Balázs Taróczy is the only player to win both singles and doubles titles in the same year which happened in 1980. Casper Ruud won the 2021 and 2022 edition and is hence the defending champion this season.
India’s Rohan Bopanna was expected to be a part of the doubles event, but he had to withdraw from the tournament. The winners in both the categories of this year’s tournament will be awarded 250 ranking points.
