GodLike Esports has been eliminated from the CODM Summer Invitational (CDSI) 2024 after a 3-1 defeat to Elevate in the Lower Bracket Round 1 of the Knockout Stage. GodLike struggled with coordination issues throughout the match, while Elevate capitalized on every opportunity, ultimately securing the victory and knocking GodLike out of the tournament. Godlike Esports Eliminated from CDSI 2024 China
Godlike Esports boasting players like Learn, Neutrino, Trunks, AbhizDADA, PreVail, and SkullGuy just able to win one map in their knockout match against Elevate. The team had narrowly qualified for the Knockout Stage after securing the last berth in the Group Stage. Their overall performance in the tournament was disappointing, especially with the upcoming CODM World Championship ahead. This performance has raised so many concerts for the runners-up of the last CODM World Championship 2023.
In the best-of-5 series, Elevate defeated GodLike Esports on the first map, Summit, with a score of 250-175. GodLike struggled to counter Peejay and KeDy’s aggression, leading to a comfortable victory for Elevate. Godlike Esports bounced back to win the second map, Firing Range, one of their strongest maps, in a Search and Destroy by 9-7 scoreline thanks to Skullguy and Abhiz’s outstanding performances.
Elevate dominated GodLike Esports in Game 3, securing a comfortable 4-2 win in Control. GodLike had trouble trading kills and kept losing players early in each round, which stopped them from building any momentum. GodLike Esports lost Map 4 in Hacienda Hardpoint after a strong start. They struggled to respond to Peejay's outstanding performance, who took control and didn’t give GodLike a chance to come back.
With this, Elevate featuring prominent names like KLo, KenDy, Yop1, Peejay, Susanoo, and Luffy are moved to the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals, where they will play against the winner between Wolves and SPG. Playing just one match, Godlike Esports will return to India and aim to prepare for the big one, the CODM World Championship 2024, which is to be played from 4th October to 6th October 2024 in Atlanta.
GodLike Esports, the runners-up from the last World Championship, is facing concerning performance issues. After their first loss to Team Vitality in SPS Season 5 - India and now being eliminated from the CODM Summer Invitational 2024, the team needs to make some strong improvements before the upcoming World Championship.
