The Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya sent out a congratulatory message on Instagram for Arshin Kulkarni after the youngster scored a fantastic hundred during the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup against the United States of America (USA). The milestone moment was key for the Indian cricket team to demolish the challenge of the USA by 201 runs in their Group B clash.

On Sunday, January 28 at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein, Arshin Kulkarni, the right-handed opening batter scored 108 runs off 118 balls with eight fours and three wickets. After stitching together a decent opening stand of 46 runs with Adarsh Singh, he was involved in a match-defining partnership of 155 runs with Musheer Khan.

After the Indian batters posted a massive score of 326/5 in their allotted overs, the bowling lineup backed them up with a clinical performance in defending the runs. Naman Tiwari, the left-arm fast bowler picked up a four-wicket haul, conceding only 20 runs in his nine-over spell with three maidens to help restrict the USA to 125/8.
Arshin Kulkarni was awarded the player of the match in the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup, and then Hardik Pandya posted a story on his official account to appreciate the 18-year-old for his top-quality batting performance. “Excellent performance yesterday, Arshin. Congratulations and my best wishes for your future. Good choice on the number” remarked Hardik, who dons the No. 33 jersey in Indian colours.
Following his match-winning hundred for India against the USA, Arshin Kulkarni was happy about achieving the big moment in front of his parents. He said, “I am like the happiest child in this world. It’s a very big moment for me and for my mother and father. They just dreamed of me playing for India and two days before she just told me that ‘I want to see you get that medal and also score a century’. And finally I was able to do it in front of her.”
