India all-rounder Hardik Pandya once again lifted an ICC title with the Indian cricket team after previously winning the T20 World Cup in June 2024. With this, he also created his viral pose, pictures of which have been making waves on social media. In another instance which has grabbed several eyeballs, Hardik Pandya silenced the reporters after he was questioned on India’s denial to tarvel to Pakistan for the recently-concluded tournament.
It is to be noted that Rohit Sharma-led Team India played all their matches in Dubai, whereas other teams played in Pakistan, except their clash against India. This decision was taken after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) denied the team’s travel owing to security reasons.
It is above my pay grade: Hardik Pandya drops witty response
When asked why the Men in Blue did not travel to Pakistan for the tournament in the post-match address after Team India’s title triumph, Hardik Pandya gave a witty response. "Great sir that they also wanted us to play there. But it didn't happen. I'm sure that the Pakistan fans who came here to watch the game would have enjoyed the games for sure. Now why we didn't go (to Pakistan) is above my pay grade. So yeah, that is all that I can say," said Hardik Pandya.

Speaking of Hardik Pandya’s performance in the CT 2025, the Indian all-rounder pulled off a handy job, both with the bat and ball. During his five-match stint, Hardik Pandya picked four wickets with the ball and amassed 99 runs from four innings. His highest score from the bat was 45 runs, which came in India’s last group stage match against New Zealand in Dubai.
On his return to India early on Tuesday, March 11, he then went onto join his IPL squad, Mumbai Indians in Mumbai. This comes despite the Indian players being granted a short break before the start of IPL 2025.
