On July 19, Wednesday, India made an emphatic comeback in the second ODI to level the three-match series against Bangladesh. After losing the first one-day international in a shocking manner, the Women in Blue managed to brush aside the hosts with a big margin of 108 runs at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
The star of the show for Team India during the second ODI against Bangladesh was Jemimah Rodrigues, who got the Player of the Match award for her impressive all-round showing with the bat and ball. During her batting effort, the young Mumbai cricketer scored 86 runs in just 78 deliveries on quite a tough pitch, which included nine fours.

Jemimah Rodrigues put together a match-winning partnership with her captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who was forced to retire hurt, due to pain in her left hand. Meanwhile, she also bowled a memorable spell, picking up four wickets for three runs to wrap up the Bangladesh innings for 120.
In the post-match presentation after India’s massive win, the presenter had a brain fade moment as he mistakenly said to Harmanpreet Kaur, “Thank you very much Jemimah, and congratulations.” Within seconds, the Indian captain was quick to respond back in a savage manner by saying, “Harmanpreet Kaur, thank you.” It led to the presenter correcting himself and said, “Harmanpreet, beg your pardon”

Meanwhile, Harmanpreet Kaur did share her thoughts about the performance of her team earlier in the post-match presentation. She was quoted as saying, “It was a great opportunity for us to bat first and set up a decent total on the board."
"We spoke about one of the batters batting till the end, when Jemi (Jemimah) came in we played according to the ball and focus was on rotating the strike,” she continued. The final and deciding match of the ODI series will be played on July 22, Saturday, where India will be looking to defeat Bangladesh to end the tour on a high.
