Famous Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle slammed a leading Indian finance company for harassing his family over texts, messages, and even bot calls. Bhogle is one of the finest names to be commentating in Indian cricket. The 61-year-old journalist is known for his straightforward comments on the game of cricket. He has never shied away from expressing his views and he once again took to social media to slam a renowned Indian finance company.
Bhogle took to Twitter to lash out at Bajaj Allianz for harassing him and his family through SMS, WhatsApp messages, emails, and bot-driven calls. He also went on to say that he would use any other life insurance plan but not theirs.
The Indian cricket commentator wrote, “I had sent many direct messages to @BajajAllianz because I try not to put things in the public domain. But we have been constantly harassed; through sms-es, whatsapp messages, emails and particularly through bot driven calls."
He added, "I asked, as politely as I could, if this bombardment could stop. I was promised it would but it hasn't. So, @BajajAllianz we have told our insurance agent, an old family connection, that we will use any health insurance except #BajajAllianz. I wish I didn't have to put it in the public domain but many DMs have failed to get them to understand. I wish you well but I will never have anything to do with you again.”
Notably, Bhogle completed 40 years of cricket commentary earlier this year, and recalling his first match he said, "40 years ago today. My first ODI. Still remember that young man trying frantically to get opportunities. And a kind producer from DD-Hyd giving him this break. I sat on a roller the previous evening, in a simple t-shirt, doing the curtain raiser. And got two commentary stints the next day. Over the next 14 months, I got to do two more ODIs and a test match. Gratitude.”
