India cricketer Virat Kohli is known as one of the greatest players in the world, and the kind of fan following he has gained over the years isn’t hidden from anyone. The former Indian skipper made his 500th appearance for India, where he played a brilliant knock of 121 runs, helping his team put up a colossal first innings total. Kohli, who has made everyone his admirer with his aggressive batting style met another special fan by the end of Day 2 in Trinidad, West Indies’ keeper Joshua Da Silva’s mother, who was left in tears after meeting her favourite cricketer.

During the first day’s game in Trinidad, Joshua was heard saying that his mother is a huge Virat Kohli fan and wanted to watch the match just for him. Later on Day 2, Joshua’s mother met Kohli and hugged him, while the two engaged in a brief chat. The heartwarming video has gone viral on social media, where the WI keeper’s mother broke down in tears after the meet.

In a video posted by RevSportz, she could be heard saying, “Both Josh and I are huge fans. We think he is one of the best batsmen in our lifetime. It was a blessing to have him in our country Trinidad.” “It was a wonderful moment, and I absolutely loved meeting him. He is a wonderful man, so talented and it was a great opportunity”, Joshua’s mother added. 

On Day 2, the India star batter’s long drought of overseas Test centuries came to an end as he hit his 29th hundred, and 76th in international cricket. The visitors finished their innings at 438, before maintaining a lead of 352 runs with one wicket as the day came to a close.
