Wife of Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and social media star Dhanashree Verma celebrated her husband's selection in the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2024. Chahal returned to Team India as BCCI announced the squad for the first time after India's tour to the West Indies in 2023 where he was part of the five-match T20I series.
The Rajasthan Royals leggie was the third-highest wicket-taker for India with a tally of five wickets in five games. But since then, Chahal wasn't picked up for the series in Ireland, the Asia Cup and then the World Cup. But outside international cricket, Chahal has been a dominant force in the IPL as he recently became the highest wicket-taker in tournament history.

Based on these exploits, Chahal was picked for the T20 World Cup as one of the four spinners alongside Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav. Reacting to Chahal's selection, Dhanashree Verma took to Instagram and shared a story that included a post about the India squad and a caption that said, "Come on @yuzi_chahal23 He's back."
