He’s not gonna get hundred: Pat Cummins’ old statement goes viral
Soon after Kohli came up with his hundred, an old video of Aussie skipper Pat Cummins went viral. In the video believed to be dated from the beginning of one of the past editions of BGT, Cummins could be heard claiming that Kohli won’t be able to score a century during the five-match series. He was heard saying, 'Virat Kohli's not gonna get a hundred and we're gonna knock him off here. My big wish this summer is that he doesn’t score 100 because he is obviously so important for their team.”
After his 81st century, Kohli expressed his gratitude for his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and credited her for his success. He said, “Anushka has been right by my side through thick and thin. She knows everything that goes on behind the scenes. Knows what goes on in the head when you're not performing well. I'm not a guy who hangs around for the sake of it. I take pride in performing for the country.”
