Hockey India announced a 39-member probable group for Senior Men’s National Coaching Camp on August 20, Sunday. The coaching camp is slated to be hosted from August 21 to September 18 at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) centre in Bengaluru. The scheduled training camp will help the Asian Giants to gear up for the forthcoming Asian Games, commencing on September 23 in Hangzhou, China.

India, who are coming on the back of the Asian Champions Trophy 2023 win, will begin their campaign in the forthcoming Asian Games 2023 on September 24 against Uzbekistan. The Men in Blue have been placed in Group A, along with Pakistan, Bangladesh, Japan, Singapore and Uzbekistan. The Indian team, under the leadership of Harmanpreet Singh, remained unbeaten throughout the tournament and defeated Malaysia 4-3 in the grand finale. 

Speaking about the forthcoming camp, Indian Men’s Hockey Chief Coach Craig Fulton said, “The camp is an important one for us as we are spearheading our preparations for the Hangzhou Asian Games which could be our road to securing a spot for the Paris Olympics 2024.”

Midfielders: Manpreet Singh, Hardik Singh, Vivek Sagar Prasad, Moirangthem Rabichandra Singh, Shamsher Singh, Nilakanta Sharma, Rajkumar Pal, Sumit, Akashdeep Singh, Gurjant Singh, Mohd. Raheel Mouseen, Maninder Singh.
