Danish teenager Holger Rune stunned former champion Novak Djokovic to clinch his maiden Masters title in Paris on Sunday after rejuvenating from a set down to win 3-6, 6-3 & 7-5. 19-year-old teenager became the youngest winner of the Paris tournament since Boris Becker in 1986 after beating five top-10 players in as many days. Interestingly, Rune is the fifth first-time Masters' winner this season and will be the first Danish man to make it into the top-ten on Monday.

Meanwhile, former world number Serbian tennis star came into Sunday's final on the back of 21 wins out of 22 matches since the start of Wimbledon, which he clinched for the seventh time in July to equal Pete Sampras' record. With that title win, Rune will also break into the ATP top 10 for the first time in his career. The Dane will be ranked World No. 10 when the new rankings are released on Monday.

Holgar Rune, the teenage sensation ranked 18 before the Paris Masters after finishing as runner-up at the Swiss Indoors Open. Rune has won 39 of his 63 matches this year, claiming almost 3,000 ranking points in that process, to now find himself in the top 10. In addition to his historic Paris Masters win, Rune also pocketed the title in Stockholm a couple of weeks ago, beating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final.

Apart from Novak Djokovic, Rune also came better off three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka, world number 9 Andrey Rublev, tenth seeded Hubert Hurkaz, top-seeded Carlos Alcaraz (retired midway through the match), and Felix- Aliassime. Rune also became the first player on a record to beat five top 10 players in a single tour event. He managed to achieve this feat within five days, making it an even more glorious.
