The Netherlands has been on a stunning three-game winning run in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023 which saw a thrilling super win over West Indies just before the start of the Super Six stage. The Dutch were bowling first and conceded a massive 374-run total as Nicholas Pooran scored a stunning century.
Then with the bat, the Netherlands held their own and finished off their innings also at 374 as the match ended as a tie. Further deciding a winner, a super over was played where Logan van Beek created history by smashing Jason Holder for 30 runs and setting a mammoth total for the Windies.
Then with the ball, Van Beek just gave eight runs and pick up two wickets to register a crucial win for his country. This victory also bolsters the Netherlands' chances of reaching the World Cup as they now possess six points ahead of the Super Six stage.
In order to qualify for the World Cup, the Dutch need to defeat all their upcoming in the super six stages in hopes to qualify for the final. Now the Netherlands must hope that Zimbabwe loses at least one game in the Super Six Stage (or) table topper of Group-B loses at least one game for them to stay alive in the race and reach the finals of the tournament and reach the World Cup in India.
