In early 2004, Sachin Tendulkar felt severe elbow pain. As per the India legend, the ache was such that he wasn’t able to hold his bat. ”My tennis elbow injury, unfortunately, happened at the beginning of the season (2004-05). I was not even able to hold a bat then,” said Tendulkar on his injury.
Later, his pain was diagnosed as tennis elbow which happens due to the overuse of forearm extensor muscles. Despite the injury, the ‘God of Cricket’ continued to play cricket for a brief period however, pain impacted his performance and he eventually failed to participate in the Champions Trophy 2004 held in England. The injury was a threat to Tendulkar’s career as he wasn’t struggling with form only but now he also saw himself out of cricketing action due to it.
