In 1992 for the first time, players were spotted playing with colored jerseys for their national side in the ODI World Cup and notably, this time the tournament was played in a round-robin format unlike splitting the teams into two different groups. A total of nine different teams participated in this ODI World Cup event which was hosted in Australia and New Zealand.
