Nepal will be playing Asia Cup for the first time in 2023 edition along with five other big teams like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. Nepal has been placed in same group with India and Pakistan in this tournament while Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh form Group B in the continental tournament. Top two teams from each group will get a chance to play Super Fours.

Here, in this article we will see how Nepal got an opportunity to play Asia Cup 2023 for the first time.

ACC Men's Premier Cup 2023 was held from 18th April to 1st May with ten teams - Nepal, Oman, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Hong Kong, Bahrain, and Singapore participating in the event in two different groups.

Nepal ended up winning that ACC Men's Premier Cup 2023 to ensure they participate in their first-ever Asia Cup.

Nepal in ACC Men's Premier Cup 2023:
- Beat Malaysia by 6 wickets in Kirtipur
- Beat Oman by 84 runs in Kirtipur
- Game Abandoned vs Saudi Arabia in Mulpani
- Beat Qatar by 68 runs in Kirtipur 
- No Result vs Kuwait in Kirtipur (Semi-Finals)

Nepal finished at higher position in points table compared to Kuwait, hence they directly qualified for the finals despite the semi-final game ending in no result.

- Beat UAE by 7 wickets in Kirtipur (Final)

Nepal remained unbeaten and clinched the ACC Men's Premier Cup trophy.
