Argentine forward Lionel Messi’s new club Inter Miami is set to release its new jersey which will be part of Major League Soccer’s recent collaboration with the famous comic book company Marvel. Messi leaves European football after concluding his topsy-turvy two-year stint with French Champions Paris Saint Germain.

Since his exit from Ligue 1, the Argentine was rumoured to join multiple clubs like Barcelona, who won the Spanish La Liga in the 2022-23 season. Similarly, Messi was also set to join Saudi Arabian giants Al-Hilal, who had reportedly presented the 2022 World Cup winner with a monumental contract. But the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner chose the David Beckham co-owned Inter Miami.

Coming back to Major League Soccer’s recent collab with Marvel, the American League has already released a Super Hero-inspired official match ball which was developed in partnership with Adidas (MLS’ official kit sponsor). This new ball will be used during the MLS All-Star Game on July 19 at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. The partnership also includes apparel which includes an Avengers-inspired warm-up jacket and pants.

Furthering this partnership, all 29 teams in the MLS will also be getting superhero-themed jerseys. Revealing their Marvel jersey, Inter Miami shared a tweet reminding their fans to keep an eye out regarding the team’s new kit. The tweet said, “With great collabs come great soccer jerseys. Keep an eye out for the limited edition Adidas x Marvel x #InterMiamiCF drops throughout the summer. @adidasfootball  x @Marvel  x @MLS”
