Before their main event match on the Misfits Boxing 15 card at the NRG Arena in Houston on Saturday, May 25, Paige VanZant and Elle Brooke spoke about each other on the latest episode of Behind My Back show on YouTube. During the sit-down interview, Paige VanZant didn’t hold back about her plans for Elle Brooke, telling her that she is going to kill her inside the squared circle.
Elle Brooke, the Misfits Boxing Women’s Middleweight Champion, has been a regular competitor in combat sports in comparison to the challenger Paige VanZant in recent times. Holding a record of 4-1 in the boxing world, Brooke will be going head-to-head against VanZant, who has 8-5 UFC record and 0-2 bare-knuckle boxing record, but she hasn’t competed after getting beaten up at the BKFC 19 against Rachael Ostovich.
The latest episode of Behind My Back show on YouTube had Paige VanZant speak at length about Elle Brooke and said, “I didn’t shake her hand because she is trying to be friendly with me. Like I am setting the tone. We are not friends. We are opponents. You are going to try and kill me. And equally, I am going to kill you.”
In one of the segments from the show, when Elle Brooke pulled out a slip from a box of questions to ask to her opponent, it read, “Give your opponent a new nickname.” After pausing for a few seconds, Brooke called VanZant, “Fallen Off.”
She also remarked, “I think recently you're not as talked about anymore. You had your hype when you were in the UFC but now you've lost that pull. Whether it is views or people just being interested in you, I think you have fallen off.”
