Just like India, Pakistan is also a cricket-loving country. The fans love to see their cricketers shine on the bigger stage. The same love turns into anger and frustration when the team or the player does not perform to the expectations. Babar Azam, who is currently the most-loved cricketer in the country also gets a word of hate here and there on social media when Pakistan don’t do well.
But just like their Indian counterparts, Pakistan cricketers have learned how to keep the outside noise away. Azam exhibited an example of the same during a presser at the ongoing T20 Tri-series between New Zealand, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. When Azam was asked about one of the journalists present at the conference that how he reacts to criticism on social media (citing the name of a personality), he gave a savage response.
“By the way, I don’t know who you are talking about. I don’t even know (the person you named),” said Babar with a smile on his face.

Coming to Pakistan’s performance in the Tri-series, the Men in Green are having a great time. In fact, they have reached the final and will face hosts New Zealand on Sunday to decide the winner. Pakistan played twice against New Zealand and the same number of times against Bangladesh in the league stage. The Babar Azam-led team won both their matches against Bangladesh while losing one game against New Zealand.
In their last league game (against Bangladesh), Pakistan clinched a thriller, thanks to Mohammad Nawaz. The all-rounder scored an unbeaten 45 off just 20 balls to help the team chase 174. Nawaz hit five fours and a six in his inning. Earlier, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam scored half-centuries. While Azam got out after scoring 55 (40), Rizwan scored a 56-ball 69.
