Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios joined the adult content creation and sharing platform OnlyFans. Kyrgios has been out of action due to his constant injury battles. Kyrgios had a knee injury in January and while he was expected to return during the Wimbledon, he had to abort the plans due to a torn ligament in the wrist. The Australian show-stopper recently pulled out of the Australian Open for the second consecutive time.
Though he is currently out of tennis action, the 28-year-old is finding ways to get some headlines. In a shocking move, Kyrgios joined OnlyFans, a platform known for sharing adult content that enables creators to receive funding directly from their fans. Kyrgios is widely known for his outspoken nature on and off the tennis court, and time and again, he has found himself in hot waters due to his nature.
The Canberra-born took to social media and announced his new move. He tweeted, “It just got a whole lot crazier…join me on only fans! It’s free to subscribe for everyone! Everything from behind the scenes to on court and everyday life. See you all there. Link in bio.” He was quoted by CNN as saying, "Launching an OnlyFans was a no-brainer. They are revolutionising social media, and I wanted to be a part of that.
He added, "Athletes can no longer just show up on the court or the field, we have to show up online too. I want to create, produce, direct, and own content. That’s the future. I’ve been speaking to my fans directly for years, and I know what they want to see.”
Notably, Nick Kyrgios is currently unranked as he played only one match in the ongoing season. Kyrgios' best result at the Australian Open was in the 2015 quarterfinals. In his last appearance in the tournament in 2022, he reached the second round before being defeated by eventual runner-up Daniil Medvedev.
