Yuzvendra Chahal has been a very successful bowler in white-ball cricket over the years in both International cricket and IPL. Recently, Chahal surpassed Dwayne Bravo in the wickets tally to become the highest wicket-taker (187) in the IPL history and notably, he was also the highest wicket-taker (91) for India in T20Is. Yuzvendra Chahal despite being one of the top spinner, hasn't got an opportunity to represent India in Test cricket.

In an recent interview with CricTracker, Yuzvendra Chahal was asked whether will he been seen playing in the white jersey for team India. Chahal replied that "every cricketer has a dream of representing his/her team on the international platform and they reach the pinnacle only when they wear whites and play red-ball cricket, so I have a dream to play test cricket for my country and get the tag of 'Test cricketer' next to my name. I have achieved a lot in white-ball cricket, but red-ball is still on my checklist".

Chahal says he tries to give his best in domestic and Ranji games to fulfill this dream of representing Indian team in Test cricket and he hopes to get an opportunity soon. Notably, Chahal hasn't played a single game for India in T20 WC despite his stupendous achievement in T20s and when asked about this he replied "That's fine, team selection is not something in my hands and I don't ponder much upon things that are beyond my control. My focus is on giving my best and performing well till the time I'm playing."

Chahal conculded by saying "my aim is to give 100% in any match that I play and once you wear the blue jersey and be part of the squad then it always gives a sense of confidence whether you are playing in the XI or not." He also stated that he has a great bond with Kuldeep Yadav and see him like his brother.
