Australia won their second consecutive match in the ODI World Cup 2023 with the help of a brilliant 259-run opening partnership from the David Warner-Mitchell Marsh pair and a four-wicket haul from Adam Zampa respectively. Initially, Pakistan winning the toss invited Australia to bat first and they managed to post 367/9 in 50 overs.
Pakistan in the run-chase started off brilliantly with a 134-run opening partnership from Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq but due to required run-rate pressure, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and ended up posting a total of just 305 runs on board.
